Choose Your VIOFO Dash Cam: T330, T340 and A149 Pro Duo

New VIOFO models: choose the views you need

Start with the evidence you want to capture: the road ahead, traffic behind, passengers, a closer forward view or an externally mounted camera. The new T330, T340 and A149 Pro Duo families offer different combinations. A higher channel count is useful only when those additional lenses cover something you need.

This comparison uses the manufacturer specification and media library supplied to DashcamCraft, reviewed October 2026. It is a configuration guide, not a claim that we have road-tested every new model. Confirm the exact bundle, cable lengths, firmware and availability before ordering.

“Waterproof” above describes the designated exterior camera, not the entire system or every connector. Exterior mounting still requires suitable cable routing, sealing, strain relief and a useful view. Two exterior cameras do not automatically create complete side coverage; placement determines the result.

T330 2CH vs T340TW 4CH

The T330 2CH is the more focused choice when your requirement is front and rear road recording. Its listed front mode reaches 4K at 60fps, with front HDR using 4K at 30fps. Do not assume the 60fps setting and HDR operate together. Other T330 configurations should be checked individually; the two-channel specification is not a promise for the whole range.

The T340TW adds a built-in infrared cabin view, a narrow telephoto view and an exterior waterproof rear camera alongside the wide front view. Its four-camera specification is 4K plus three 2K streams at 30fps. The extra views require more placement decisions and should be included when planning storage and power.

The telephoto view complements the wide front camera. It trades scene width for a closer view of a smaller forward area; it is not a guarantee of readable license plates. Speed, lighting, exposure, distance, vibration and glass all affect the recording. The supplied T340 specifications also limit simultaneous secondary-channel HDR: front HDR plus one selected secondary view. Check the menu and current manual instead of assuming HDR is enabled on every stream.

Which family fits your installation?

Daily front and rear recording: compare T330 2CH with A149 Pro Duo. The supplied A149 specification lists a 1080p rear stream and a built-in screen; the T330 2CH lists a 2K rear stream and no screen. Consider rear-detail needs and how you prefer to operate the camera, rather than choosing on front resolution alone.

Cabin recording: compare T330 3CH’s separate cabin camera with T340’s built-in cabin camera. A separate module offers a different placement choice; an integrated module means front and cabin framing must both work at the main mounting position. Confirm the view with the mirror and any sensor housing in place.

Telephoto: select an actual T configuration. T330T and T330TW do not include a cabin stream in the supplied three-camera bundles. If you require cabin recording too, compare the relevant four-camera T340 variants.

Exterior rear or additional exterior views: compare the specific W and WW configurations. Review the vehicle, intended camera positions and cable lengths before buying. A rear-window installation and an exterior installation are different jobs.

HK6-F, HK6-A and BP60: finish the system

HK6-AHardwire power and supported parking functionsSpecified for A149 Pro Duo
BP6064Wh dedicated dash cam battery packConfirm camera output cable, charging input and parking-signal arrangement

A similar USB-C connector is not sufficient evidence of compatibility. Do not substitute an older HK4, HK5 or HK6 just because it fits. VIOFO’s HK6-F specification identifies the T330/T340 pairing. Read our hardwire versus battery guide for daily charging and runtime planning.

Parking modes and storage: avoid two common assumptions

Low-power impact detection and continuous recording do different jobs. An impact-triggered standby mode can miss the approach before a trigger; do not equate it with a continuously recorded timeline. Hybrid behavior changes the mode as configured conditions are reached. Our parking surveillance guide explains the tradeoffs.

The supplied new camera specifications list up to 512GB microSD support. Choose a recommended endurance card and estimate the combined bitrate of all active streams using our 128GB, 256GB and 512GB comparison. Wi-Fi 6 helps local app access; it does not itself provide remote LTE or fleet monitoring.

VIOFO buying questions

Does every three-channel model record the cabin?

No. T330T, T330TW and T330WW use their additional views for other purposes. Check the full configuration above.

Are manufacturer videos proof of a customer installation?

No. They illustrate product features. For a documented job with installation photographs, see our Kia Optima A229 Plus and PowerCell 5 installation.

Which new model is best?

The best fit depends on required views, mounting constraints, storage, parking power and budget. More cameras do not automatically produce better evidence of the incident you care about.
