Parking Mode Runtime Estimator

Free planning tool

Parking-mode runtime estimator

Estimate a practical operating-time range from battery capacity, camera power draw, temperature and battery condition. The result is for planning—not a guarantee that a vehicle will start.

Energy model

Estimate usable recording time

Amp-hours (Ah), usually printed on the battery label.
Use measured watts or manufacturer information when available.
This is not a voltage-cutoff setting; it is a simplified usable-energy assumption.
Important: A hardwire kit’s voltage threshold, vehicle sleep behavior, battery chemistry, temperature and battery age can change the result substantially. Some vehicles and EV low-voltage systems require vehicle-specific planning. Never treat this estimate as proof that extended parking recording is safe.

How this estimate is calculated

Vehicle battery

Rated amp-hours are converted to watt-hours at 12 V. Only the selected planning allowance is treated as available before cutoff.

Dedicated pack

Enter the pack’s rated watt-hours. The estimator applies an efficiency allowance before temperature and condition adjustments.

Runtime range

The midpoint is divided by camera watts, then displayed as a ±20% range to make uncertainty visible.
